Many people think that their greatest fear is giving a speech in front of the people or giving a presentation on the stage. And giving a speech or presentation is one of the important ability that you need in every field during the job or your work.

10 percent of people love to speak in front of an audience and they do not have any stage fear and 10 percent of people get extremely panicked while giving a presentation they feel extreme anxiety, sweating etc. But 80 percent of the population is in the middle, they get anxious, get butterflies, don’t sleep at night before presentation but they know they have to go through it.

At LPU we often have presentations to give every other day, whether in the classroom or in the front of the crowd. That makes us feel nervous.

There are some hacks to become more confident while giving a presentation and to overcome this stage fear:

  • ACT CONFIDENT:

Whenever you reach the stage, be confident chest out and smile on your face, people can’t see that how nervous you are they can’t see the sweat in your palm, knocking knees or your heart pounding.

  • PRACTICE AND REHEARSE:

Practice and present yourself in front of a supportive audience like your friends and rehearse at least once in front of a mirror that what you are going to say and how you are going to say it.

  • BREATHE:

Always take a deep breath before you start then go slowly, after a minute you will be fluent in speaking your mind. Through this hack, you can prevent yourself from stammering.

  • EXERCISE:

Do exercise. It will help you to reduce anxiety and make you feel calm and sober and it will definitely help you in your presentation.

  • FOCUS AND SIMPLIFY:

Try to focus on your audience stop thinking am I doing good? Am I doing meaningful talk? Just keep your material simple and impressive do not try to put everything in your presentation and don’t make it complex.

One more fact that a great speaker also feels nervous when they speak on the stage. So, don’t think that you are the only one who feels nervous. Use these hacks to overcome the fear of stage and slight nervousness that comes along with it.
