Educational Tie-ups & Skill Development Cell and Community Service Cell, Lovely Professional University in collaboration with Ministry of Earth Sciences, New Delhi celebrating Earth Day 2019 here at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab on Monday 22nd April 2019.
On this occasion, we are organizing and Drawing & Painting Competition under the following three categories/age groups.
Category – I: Students of Primary class level (up to 5th Standard) for the 1-hour duration.
Category – II: Students from class 6th onwards and up to Secondary class (10th standard) level for 1½ hour duration.
Category – III: Students from Senior Secondary (11th standard) and up to graduation level from college for the 2-hour duration.
Theme – Protect Our Species
Topics for Drawing/Painting Competition –
a) Sustenance of various ecosystems.
b) Ocean resources (Living & Non-living resources).
c) Impact of Climate change.
d) Deforestation & Aforestation and their significance.
e) Atmospheric Ocean.
f) Polar Science.
g) Sustainable use of natural resources.
h) Biosphere.
There will be 4 cash Prizes; 1st Prize – Rs. 5,000/-, 2nd Prize – Rs. 4,000/- and 3rd Prize – Rs. 3,000/-, Consolation Prize – Rs. 2,000/-). Total prizes will be 12 worth Rs. 42,000/-.
Each winner & participant will get the Certificate. Drawing Sheets (22”x15”) and Colours will be provided by University. The organizing committee of Earth Day Festival 2019 takes the pleasure to invite LPU students (only for category III) and wards of LPU staff members (for all categories) to take part in the drawing & painting competition.
Registration for the event is absolutely free.
Registration is limited to 50 participants per category (Total 150 for all categories) on first come first serve basis.
