I have mastered the rare art of enjoying all weather. It takes maturity and a subtleness of mind..

The summer heat brings on a kind of frenzy. You never know just what to do, hurry and have the loo whip at you or slow down and let the glaring sun get you sweaty. The dilemma of whether to speed up or slow down often vexes us. But there is a joke in all of this, whether hurrying on or slowing down, everyone, cream and cosmetics companies especially, are more worried about our complexions than us falling ill or being uncomfortable.

The only consolation can be laughing at ourselves and trying to forget the hot month. Try it someday, I’m sure it’ll will bring on a war of expressions on your face, out of which a smile will overwhelm the rest. And then when you see others with creased foreheads and cursing lips, you will feel yourself calmer, easier, and happier.

It may sound a bit absurd, but I enjoy it. I have mastered the rare art of enjoying all weather. It takes maturity and a subtleness of mind, that I have cultivated over the years. You see, liking or disliking a thing, in this case a season, is a both a personal preference and a conditioned response. Simply put, one can unlearn to dislike, and learn to enjoy all that a season brings.

Be it the ACs in the summer or the heat blowers in the winters. What we are actually doing is, cutting ourselves off from nature, creating artificial comfort. Perhaps we should open ourselves to all experiences, good or bad, that nature meant us to have. What if it is too hot, or too cold? This is how it was supposed to be. Everything doesn’t needs to be perfect, that would just make life boring, right?

Looking forward to the winters in a few months now, let’s see how many of us mar their beautiful smiles with frowns and how many of us smile like they couldn’t be happier.
