“Christmas gift suggestions: to your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.” –  Oren Arnold

Luke 14:12-14: Jesus said, “When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbours, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, and the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”

Christmas, is all about the spirit of giving. This Christmas, don’t just sit around the Christmas tree waiting for Santa to deliver your presents. Instead, be a Santa Claus for someone else. Here’s how you can bring smile on some faces this holiday season:

  1. The most meaningful thing you can give to someone is the joy of reading. Donate your old books to a NGO.

You can make a big difference in the lives of people who are desperate for some books.

  1. Distribute some cake and food to the homeless people around your house.

Let those who cannot afford have a merry Christmas too.

  1. Surprise your parents by cooking a lavish Christmas meal for them.

Give them a break from cooking and let them enjoy a hearty meal from their children.

  1. Buy all the Christmas goodies from the kids selling on the streets, and give them a reason to celebrate.
  1. Gift a new piece of furniture to your best friend.

It will be always there for them, even when you are not.

  1. Organise a Christmas party at a government school in your city, and give presents to all the students.
  1. Pay for a stranger’s meal at a restaurant.

An act of kindness to a stranger is the greatest act of kindness.
