Taking the first step in the college campus can be frightening. To make it less scary, Freshman year is your saviour. It helps you find your crowd, where you’d fit in. You will decide who you are and what matters you the most. Just leave your hostel room and check out what your campus has.

You can join in plenty of activities, teams, clubs and groups. Do you want to join Greek life? How about an intramural team? Do you love academics? Join a science club or a writing club. You can also start your own club for something you are passionate about. One of the biggest regrets college students have about freshman year is not getting involved during this year. Don’t waste your first semester hiding in your room. Get out and try something new.

The first semester of college should not be daunting. Be excited! Be confident! This is a new stage of your life. You will change and grow more than you ever thought. You may think that your high school friends are the greatest people in your life and you can’t even imagine finding friends better than them. Newsflash, this probably won’t happen for you.
You will find your “people” in college: your girl-gang, your bro-gang!. Don’t be afraid, just load up on your college crew necks and get ready for the time of your life.
