The School of Management of Lovely Professional University organized an important guest lecture to provide global exposure to its MBA, BBA, B.Com students. This was done in order to update them up close with the emerging digital marketing trends successfully driven through Snapdeal, Flipkart, and Jabong among many. Chief Human Resource Officer and Director on Board of top fashion industry, ‘Jabong.com’, Mr Ashu Malhotra was invited to sensitize LPU students for this. He guided students on how to lead a world of ‘Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity’ (VUCA World). Mr Malhotra ‘conversed’ with students about e-commerce, digital revolution, reinventing business set ups, developing a different way of thinking etc. Mr Malhotra supported his lecture with explanatory presentations.

 

With years of experience in business transformation, organization development, corporate governance, training and development, Mr Malhotra has vast global exposure by working extensively in Japan, China and France. He has handled large and complex roles scaling up to 15000 employee base, by controlling both human resource and industrial relations. He advised LPU students, “Students must take pride in being Indians as India is a great land of opportunities. It is only up to students utilize these opportunities. The world is very competitive and students will have to hone their capabilities by taking part in all  the activities allied to their program.” In simple one-liners he asked students “to plan life properly; do not exist only in the present; have vision to see through things; keep on taking feed-backs from others; understand their limitations; amend errors committed; be honest to self; and, desire to learn to be a better human being than the previous day spent.”

 

LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal and Pro Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal felicitated the visiting guest.
