Ever since It began to offer distance education programmes, LPU has received many accolades and outshone many older DE institutes and universities in a very short span.

LPU adopts a modern and technology driven, blended system of delivery. LPU e-Connect, an Online Learning Management System of LPU DE, is providing exhaustive online support to the students. Additionally, Personal Contact Programs (PCPs) are conducted for various courses at the university campus. Students are provided with placement support and are kept informed of the various placement drives conducted in collaboration with various companies. LPU DE students get opportunities to participate in various national and international events held at the university to channelize their creative talent. LPU has been offering various distance education programmes at Masters, Bachelors, Post Graduate Diploma, and Diploma levels. These programmes are in the disciplines of management, computer applications, information technology, commerce, arts, and library and information sciences.
