A 2nd-year B.Tech ECE student, Ambika Mishra participated in the Republic Day Parade 2018 as a part of NSS Contingent. She was chosen among 15 lakh NSS volunteers for her outstanding performance and parade. Ambika had completed 145 hours of NSS Service within a year. But, this was not it, being a Kathak Dancer, she also got the opportunity to perform Kathak on the evening of Republic Day before the 10 elite guests from South East Asian Nations at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. She performed on patriotic songs like Vande Mataram.

Ambika will also be awarded prestigious testimonials from the honourable President of India for her participation. Besides being a Kathak Dancer, she is also a classical singer. Hailing from Barrackpur, West Bengal, Ambika’s joys knew no bounds on being a part of an event such huge national importance. She expressed her joy and contentment and also accorded thanks to her teachers at Lovely Professional University for motivating her.

This is a moment of pride for the University. LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal congratulated her on this achievement. He also advised other students to follow their passion with enthusiasm and dedication.
