A five day online Short-Term Course on MASTER CLASS WITH CHEF was conducted by Lovely Professional University – Human Resource Development Center and School Of Hotel Management And Tourism. The course got an overwhelming response from various strata of the society including Corporate Professionals, students and Faculty members PAN India. The spectrum of ardent learners added variety and different perspectives to the hands-on practice and learning of culinary skills. The hallmark of the course was the live demonstration with four angle camera view, radiant ambience, and access to the recording of each session.

The Day I began with the opening remarks and context setting by Dr. Sunaina Ahuja, Head-Human Resource Development Center, LPU who stated that the timing of offering the course was apt as the demand for culinary skills has increased on account of preference of home-cooked cuisines. “The Course is aimed at up-skilling the participants with recipes of exclusive Indian and International cuisines, balancing taste and health in equal proportion”, she remarked.

Chef Amit Joshi and Chef Rajiv Ranjan demonstrated a bouquet of 8 dishes representing wide diversity of cuisine ranging from typical South Indian, Punjabi to French and Italian cuisines.

The participants made 2 dishes one each from Indian and International categories, recorded the videos and shared with HRDC. The Resource Persons gave candid feedback on the procedure and output presented on the culminating day of the Short Term Course. The top 5 participants were given the opportunity to showcase their dishes to all.

The participants were highly appreciative of the organization, conduct, immediate responsiveness of the organizing team and the expertise of the Chefs. They acknowledged and thanked the experts for their professional skills and also for improving the quality of life.

Mr. Sarabjeet Singh Burmi, a participant who is an entrepreneur remarked, “This course had become a passion for me and my family, it was a festive week for us, we enjoyed learning, preparing and tasting the dishes”

The Organizing Team, led by Dr. Sunaina Ahuja, Professor and Associate Dean & Head of Human Resource Development Center, Mr. Puneet Soni and Ms. Sharanjeet and the Resource Panel team consisting of Mr. Amit Joshi, Assistant Professor and Mr. Rajiv Ranjan, Assistant Professor, of School Of Hotel Management And Tourism put in all-out efforts to make Master Class with Chef, a worthwhile, hands-on course, with practical takeaways for all the participants. The participants requested the organizing team to plan and organize a bakery workshop in the near future.
