As per the tradition set at the campus, Lovely Professional University welcomed, guided, and inspired thousands of new students from different parts of the world and the country, for the new academic session 2017-18. Elite motivators including managing directors, CEOs, presidents, celebrities, top army officers & other senior officials from the industry and diverse sectors were invited to inspire new students to live a complete nostalgia-free campus-life and excel in their respective domains.

India’s leading expert on ‘International Relations’ & a top columnist with major publications including Forbes, Outlook and more, Padma Shri Prof Dr. Pushpesh Pant guided new students by saying,

“Always keep working hard as sooner or later your work gets recognized. However, it puts a sense of responsibility also. What one achieves is not intended for him/her only, it is ever associated with the society and nation at large, so learn to contribute to the society and help others with knowledge, skills and insights gained at the campus.”

Executive Director, Munjal School of Manufacturing Excellence at Indian School of Business, Dr. Chandan Chowdhry, whose special areas of interest are innovation and ‘technology enabled business transformation’, invoked students “to work on leveraging technology to make the world a better place to live”.  

Forwarding his great know-how on the dangerous disease Hepatitis-B, Senior Gastroenterologist of the North, Dr. Ajit Sood, Professor and Head, Department of Gastroenterology, Dayanand Hospital & Medical College, Ludhiana, guided students to “stay healthy and work more to secure a better future”.

Country’s leading liquor baron turned food columnist & the author of exotic cookbooks, Executive Director of the 550 crores Mohan Meakins’ Group, Rocky (Rakesh) Mohan inspired LPU students, “If you want success, live life as per your passion”.

Former GOC-in-C, Lieutenant General K. J. Singh, PVSM, AVSM & Bar boosted students to “live a life of a true soldier to respect their motherland and its causes”.

Similarly, Director, Forensic Medicine, Maulana Azad Medical College, Dr. Anil Aggarwal; President AERIS Communications, Recipient of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) from Queen Elizabeth II, Dr Rishi Bhatnagar; Bollywood artist Malkit Singh; and many more, motivated the students.

All the esteemed visitors held open discussions and interactions with students of different streams including Business Studies, Engineering, Pharmacy, Hospitality, Fine Arts, Architecture, Journalism and many others.
