Background & Rationale
Lovely Professional University endeavors to serve the industry by conducting Corporate Training Programs custom designed for the relevant sectors of the economy. Human Resource Development Center collaborates with key Resource Persons across the University to serve the development needs of corporate personnel in a customized manner. 

Nav Disha, aCorporate Training Program designed for Indian oil Corporation, Indane Distributors received active participation of the target audience. The program aimed at capacity building for Business Development and Team Leadership in the digital era. The 2-day program was spread over 10 sessions. Lovely Professional University deputed experts in the relevant fields as the Resource Panel. Mr.Sarabjit Singh Kwatra, Assistant Director, Human Resource Development Center facilitated a session on Team building and Leadership through experiential Learning. Mr.Narinder Singh Garcha, Assistant Director, Centre for Professional Enhancement-II, discussed the benchmarked best sales practices and branding strategies. Ms.Navpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor,  Centre of Professional Enhancement-1 took the participants on a journey of self discovery for personal development. Mr.Rajesh Dorbala, Assistant Professor, Mittal School of Business shared the contemporary aspects of digitalization of business so vital to the parent company Indane for excellence in customer service. 

The Subject Matter Experts from Indian Oil Mr. Afaq Majid Lone, Senior Manager,Indane Area Office, Jammu and  Mr. Rajat Nakra, Officer,Indane Area Office, Jammu candidly brought out the significance of safety at customer premises and distributorship operations.

There was a rich mix of individual and team activities making the program interesting and interactive. The deliberations stimulated self-learning amongst the participants who actively participated in the program. The participants were appreciative of the gesture shown by the University in terms of choice of Subject Matter Expert, appropriate learning environment, venue setting, infrastructure, study material and content delivery. They were also impressed by the subject expertise of the resource persons.

The participants observed that the program was outcome oriented and gave them new insights on the topic. It was relevant for enhancement in quality of leadership, time management and marketing strategies. It was crafted to meet the training needs stated by the client. These training programs also help in strengthening industry-academia relations thus opening new vistas of mutual collaboration.
