LPU School of Computer Applications organised SCA Got Talent on 27 August 2016 at Shri Baldev Raj Mittal Auditorium. This event, being one of its kind, was exclusively for the Computer Application program. Dance, theater and singing competitions were organised in which not only the students, but also the faculty of SCA moved and grooved, showcasing their talent.
The occasion was graced by respected Director General LPU, Er H.R Singla and Mr. Ashok Kumar, HOS School of Computer Applications. Addressing the young minds witnessing the event Er H.R Singla opened the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp and wishing the participants good luck. He encouraged students to keep participating in competitions to learn and grow into multi-skilled all rounders.
The diverse culture of LPU was reflected in all the performances of 50 participants as one saw people from one state perform songs and dances from another. Indian born Hima S.Patel, educated in Zambia, showcased her multi cultural heritage in her performance, and then students from all the corners of India danced the Bhangra with the ‘Punjabi Mundda’s’. The overall trophy winners for Dance, Theater and Singing were Gaurav, Kushal and Mayank. They got Mouse, Headphones, and Pendrives as gifts, in keeping with their chosen field of study.
It was a heart-warming, invigorating event, where SCA people strengthened their own bonds and celebrated their talents while mingling and interacting with students and faculty from other departments who’d come to enjoy their performances and cheer them on.
