As I and my roommates decided to go to the food court for dinner, one of my roommates who was outside the room, came running and shouted “Everything is hazy outside. There is fog everywhere. WINTER IS FINALLY HERE”.

HOLA!!

It’s that part of the year when Lovely Professional University gets covered up in the cold mist. The mist engulfs the whole campus which gives it a more mysterious look. The students can be seen covering themselves up with warmer clothes to shield their body against the chilly winter of Punjab. The beverage shops can be seen filled-up with Vertos congregating for their cup of coffee/tea. The juices and shakes can be seen looking at the gratified faces of the students drinking the hot beverages and gulping their own diminishing demand.

The harsh winters of North India have started a tad early this year. It was in December last year when such intensity of fog was observed in and around LPU.  The mornings are cold as the lazy sun marks its attendance by 9 A.M. at the earliest. However, this has made the life of students problematic as the weather enhances the bond between them and their beds.

The fashion trends of the students can also be seen changing to the winter apparels. The markets of Phagwara and Jalandhar were flocked by Vertos as part of their winter shopping. More than half of the nearby market is sure to be dominated by the vertos as everyone will be up to grab the best fashion wear for this season.  Many students can also be seen coming to the hostels carrying new blankets to keep themselves warm during the winter

The mist is sure to be a problem for the people wearing spectacles as they will have to rub them clean at very short intervals of time. So if the post is not visible to you, the blame goes to the fog and not me. So keep yourselves warm and enjoy this winter.
