Commonwealth Gold Medalist and Arjuna Awardee Gurpreet Singh has now become a part of the LPU family by joining Bachelor of Arts Programme under LPU Distance Education. After bringing laurels to the country in several International Shooting events, Mr. Gurpreet Singh opted for a Bachelor of Arts Distance Education from LPU in order to get better at performing everyday tasks. Good communication skills are a prerequisite for any individual.

Mr. Gurpreet Singh has represented India in Rio Olympics 2016 and secured 7th place in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event. Mr. Gurpreet Singh has won Gold medals (with games record) in 25m and 10m Rapid Fire Pistol (Pairs) Events and Bronze medal in 25m Individual event in 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games; Silver medal in 25m Centre Fire Pistol Men’s Team event during 2014 Asian Games held in Incheon; and numerous other medals and distinguished places in various International events like Asian Air gun Championships, Asian Championship and South Asian Games besides being the National Champion in various Individual and Group pistol events.

By getting admission, Mr. Gurpreet Singh hopes to get the exposure of life at University and learn new skills. LPU is proud to have him as a student wishes him all the best for future endeavours.
