LPU student Sayan Guchait nominated as future global leader to attend the ‘World Bank Youth Summit 2018’

Sayan Guchait, a final year B.Sc Honors student of economics from the Mittal School of Business of Lovely Professional University has been nominated as a future global leader by World Bank to attend the World Bank Youth Summit, 2018. The Summit, with the theme of “Unleashing the Power of Human Capital”, will be held on 3rd and 4th of December 2018, at the World Bank Group (WBG) headquarters in Washington DC, USA.

World Bank Youth Summit is an annual event held by the World Bank Group (WBG) to engage with youth globally on the most pressing topics facing their generation. Of the 2500 shortlisted candidates from over 195 countries, Sayan is among the 100 selected candidates who are invited to attend the Summit. As a  young social entrepreneur, he will be competing against his fellow attendees of the Summit through a submission of an innovative idea that contributes to building human capital, the greatest asset of economies globally.

In light of the Summit, Sayan expressed his excitement to cocreate innovative ways to build solutions for the betterment of humanity and to end poverty.
