Shining on the reality TV, Lovely Professional University (LPU) student, Manisha Sharma has reached the top 12 of the famous reality Show Dil Hai Hindustani Season 2 on the Star Plus Network. Manisha Sharma proved to be a champion by giving an outstanding performance through her raps in her group called, “Desi Divas” and won commendations from the judges Badshah, Sunidhi Chauhan and Pritam at the show.
In fact, their performance prodded the judge Badshah to rise from his seat and congratulate them for their stunning performance. The performance by Desi Divas added more charm to the evening at the show that focused on ‘Female Power’. Their performances not only won the hearts of the judges but also won applaud from the audience. In her group, Desi Divas, Manisha plays the role of a rapper.
The show “Dil Hai Hindustani” is unique in its way that it not only invites participants from across India but from across the world. LPU student Manisha Sharma is competing against singers from other countries like Russia, Poland and, Canada. The show gives the contestants a chance to give their own unique characteristic touch to Indian music and songs. The cherished music reality show, Dil Hai Hindustani 2 was flagged off on 7 July 2018 on Star Plus.
Manisha, who is a student at LPU hails from Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh developed the love for music early and has released songs featuring her raps like, Swag Tera, Cyclone and many more. She is, in fact, one of the few female rappers in India. She has also sung raps in hip-hop songs like Fearless.
Recently, a group of LPU students, known as the Afreen Group had also won accolades from national celebrities and stars on the signing reality show Rising Star on Colors TV. Illustrative, LPU encourages students to excel not just in academics but also in other activities that bring their creativity in the light.
