Remember the time when as school students, we used to attend the Republic Day celebrations in school, sit through those long yet informative speeches or gleefully watch the performances and listen to fellow mates sing patriotic songs which filled our veins with pride. And the best part of all of it was getting sweets at the end to celebrate the day our constitution came into effect.
Isn’t it nostalgic? But then why don’t we ever celebrate it after passing out from school. We often see flags lying down on road the day after celebrations and never bother to give it a second look and forget picking it up. Sometimes people even forget to make Asoka Chakra on the flag making it look like the flag of Ireland in reverse.
Hardly anyone shows up when celebrations go on be it anywhere. But nevertheless, a few amazing people do take part in the celebrations. Also, our University has always taken an active part in making this incredible day as joyous as possible. LPU-NSS has always celebrated this specific occasion with kids in village schools allowing them to be a part of the day Indian history saw as a landmark in its progress.
Here are some of the pictures.

Also, let’s not forget to give our due respect to our National Flag starting with picking up the flags thrown around by someone who doesn’t know its value.
