India is the biggest democracy and is thought to be among the most stable nations. But perhaps we aren’t where we could be. if India is to grow fully into its potential, we require governance that is issues focused and concentrates on improvement. To effect this change, we need the involvement of youth who are committed to social issues facing our country and will take on any service to the society with a view to fortify the just texture of our country.
Uttar Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad or UBCS, as it known, is a non-political stage to sharpen and bridle the force of youth, for the most part socially dynamic and politically delicate understudies from various schools and college of north India. The UBCS gives lessons on the working of a popular government and urges the understudies to serve the general public by entering into public service and fulfilling administrative roles.
Today UBCS organised their first official gathering in the Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium where all the members, along with their leaders, were present for the grand opening of this ‘Sansad’. The event started with various students of UBCS presenting mimes in which they expressed their thoughts and feelings. A lighted candle dance expressing the power of youth and its significance in the development of country was staged. The 3 day ‘sansad’ is aimed at motivating the youth to shape the change they want in the country.
