LPU’s Department of Youth Capital, under the aegis of Student Welfare Wing, hosted International Model United Nations (IMUN) during the Global Open Fest YouthVibe 2023, bringing together young minds to discuss and develop solutions for some of the most pressing global issues.
The event was a simulation of the United Nations, where participants represented different countries and engaged in debates, negotiations, and diplomacy.
The IMUN provided a platform for young people to voice their opinions and concerns on issues such as human rights, poverty, climate change, and international security. The participants had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of global affairs and diplomatic skills, while also making new friends and building networks.
The event was not only an academic exercise but also a cultural exchange, where participants shared their perspectives, traditions, and experiences. The diversity of the participants enriched the discussions and fostered mutual understanding and respect.
The IMUN was a unique opportunity for young people to engage in global citizenship and take action toward a better world. The solutions proposed during the event were not only theoretical but also practical. The participants were encouraged to implement them in their communities and advocate for them on a larger scale.
The IMUN was a testament to the power of youth and the importance of dialogue and collaboration in solving global challenges. It inspired the participants to become active global citizens and agents of change in their respective fields.
