The induction at LPU arrived after two years with a boom with thousands of students coming to the University from their hometowns and far-off places only to be welcomed in the best way possible! The induction this year saw the presence of numerous celebrities and cultural programs by the senior students as a special greeting for their future studies at the university. A perfect start to a perfect journey starts in a perfect way and that is what induction is for!

Two days ago, Akhil, the famous singer of the song “Khwaab”, along with Preeti Sapru and Rubina Bajwa came to the Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium for the movie promotion of “Teri Meri Gal Ban Gai” and mesmerized the audience with soulful Punjabi music and interaction.

On 24th August, LPU saw a massive feast at the Baldev Raj Mittal Unipolis where hundreds of stalls were put up for a variety of items, from food to clothes and goods. Food stalls of famous street food like “golgappe”, and “papri chaat”, and South Indian food items like “special thali”, “punugulu”, and “dosa” with sandwiches, juices, shakes, tea, coffee, patties, and samosas to add to the fun! Students along with parents enjoyed the massive arrangement of the different food courts of LPU bringing a variety of cuisines altogether in one place.

Not just food stalls, but various stalls were put up by the different student organizations of LPU like Aashray Army, Oasis, IRSO, NCC, and NSS where students were allowed to do the registration and along with it, various games were played for the entertainment of the students. Also, Freshmen Talent Search was going on the stage where the freshers were off showcasing their special talents from dancing to singing and getting appreciated by everyone.

Various innovative vehicle models were shown at the event where students were permitted to ride the vehicles on their own to relish the moments.

At the same time, Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium witnessed the star cast of “Rowdy Singh” who made the crowd crazy by making them sway in their tune. Overall, the induction this year has become memorable for each one of the freshers and there are more surprises yet to come!
