Despite doing college or following the usual path, some personalities are giving their every single second for the betterment of our family and planet. Here are some youngsters that will inspire you and make you rethink your priorities.

Greta Thunberg

17-year-old, Greta is from Sweden. She had been featured as the ‘Person of the year 2019’ by Time magazine. She became globally popular due to her endless and constructive effort to control climate change. She started solo ‘School Strike for Climate Change’, refused to attend classes until the 2018 Sweden Election and sat with a signboard in front of parliament for weeks. This strike was joined by millions of students from 100+ countries in which they take off Friday classes and demonstrate together the demand for strict and immediate action from political leaders towards increasing climate change and renewable energy. She made many powerful leaders like Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin to respond and give appropriate solutions.

Malala Yousafzai

Mononymously recognized as Malala, the 22-year girl from Pakistan is fighting for female education and women right from over 10 years in her native and neighbouring countries. She is the youngest person to get a ‘Nobel Peace Prize’. This all started in the late 2000s when the Taliban was cruelly ruling over her native land and strictly corner them from doing things like education, female outing and freedom. She bravely wrote everything openly in her blogs for BBC Urdu describing the torcher, harassment, seize of freedom rights, Taliban’s devilish growth and government ignorance. She wrote those blogs on behalf of millions of girls and thus become the Taliban’s target also attacked by a gunman in 2012. With intense medical processes, she survived the attack and just after recovery she started working and formed the non-profit organization, Malala Fund, for girls around the globe passing through the same conditions.

Emma Gonzalez

The USA has reported over 400 mass shooting cases in the year 2019 and 199 cases just from 1 Jan to 29 Feb 2020. In Feb 2018, the same incident happened in a high school of Parkland resulting in 17 death. Emma Gonzalez was among the rest 17 who survived the attack. Her speech against gun violence became viral in which she accused politicians with facts, stating that they are spoiling families and youth of the United States by openly ignoring such things. She did movements like ‘Moment of Silence’, ‘March for our Lives’ and founded the political action committee ‘Never Again MSD’ which was widely supported by millions of students of USA and thus became a major protest during the 2018 election. She is continuously working and forcing the parliament along with her members to change every single private weapon law which can create harm for citizens of her country.

Our university has various clubs which serves the needy and require social enthusiast like you. We have club ‘Aashray’, always do food distribution in the nearest villages, ‘BioStem’ works for sustainable development and 20+ social organization including NSS which serves day and night for the welfare of impoverished. So, don’t wait and hesitate it’s your time to work for our planet and humanity for our better future.
