Into the woods I wander
To the path that leads somewhere
Illuminating light at a distance
A visible sight of wonders
Rustling sound of the leaves
Echoes deeper into the forest
To the uncertain path that awaits
The sound of silence remains
As solitude unravels serenity
Nature blankets over my existence
For the creatures that cross my path
I manifest as an enigma in their midst
Yearning for an epiphany
I thwart in expectation for a moment
Deeper into the woods I travel
In every footstep my shadow follows
I grow weary as my path lengthens
To more uncertainty that follows
As dusk begins to overshadow
The twilight becomes evidently clear
Into the woods I have wandered
With hope to find my solace
The soul that I harbor
Calls forth for natures healing.
