Limerence

Ethereal flowers in a forlorn park,

Crystal dewdrops in the dark,

Pristine teardrops shone like sparks,

Encircled by the melody of silken larks,

Luminous fireflies set the place aglow,

Air scented of sweet, fragrant mistletoe,

A fiery heart caught in a nightmare,

Snowflakes danced around her golden hair,

Shards of shattered light decorated the night,

Stars filled with hope like a kaleidoscope of light,

Skin that bled from cutting itself on their fringes,

And on all the dreams that their beauty sketches,

Despite the bewitching exquisiteness of the sight,

A soul that longed to be anywhere else tonight,

Never has she felt more lonesome than whence,

Pleading to escape these waves of limerence..
