AASHRAY ARMY which is now working for past two years with all their heart for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society with its team of 400 plus members under the Aegis of Division of Student Welfare, Lovely Professional University, organized a 40 minute long online live session called ‘WOMEN SPEAKS‘ on 16th August 2020.
AASHRAY ARMY has successfully conducted many sessions under ‘WOMEN SPEAKS SERIES’ previously that included speakers like IAS Sonal Goel, Indian wicket-keeper batsman Nuzhat Parween, who enlightened the 40K+ viewers of the session with their empowering words.
For the session, AASHRAY ARMY family was honoured to have ‘Dr. Navjot Simi‘ who is a live example of women empowerment to the whole world. She is a successful yet down-to-earth IPS officer today. But before clearing her PCS exam she has served our country as a dentist. She has proved that marriage is not the only standard for women to achieve.
The session started with the warm welcome of ‘Dr. Navjot Simi’ by Ms Kanika the representative for the session, followed by Dr Navjot’s sharing of her story of how her interest inclined towards UPSC. She also gave tips and guidelines to all the aspiring UPSC candidates that included:
- less pressure
- less underestimation
- more positive thinking
- own strategy, etc.
The live session was joined by 44k + viewers. Her live session was a combination of knowledge sharing and positivity. She also shared her secret of life that was positivity and happiness. The session was concluded by thanking ‘Dr. Navjot Simi’ for her presence and appreciating her for her simplicity.
