The Agri-Startup Stakeholders Connect, themed “Fostering Collaboration and Partnerships,” was organized by the School of Agriculture, Lovely Professional University (LPU), in collaboration with the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad; the Centre for Innovation and Agripreneurship (MANAGE-CIA); and the Punjab Agribusiness Incubator, Punjab Agricultural University. The event brought together policymakers, scientists, bankers, farmers, startups, students, faculty members, and agripreneurs to discuss pathways towards a future-ready agricultural economy.

Lovely Professional University hosted “Banking on India’s Future: RBI’s Campus Dialogues,” bringing students closer to the world of banking, finance, and India’s evolving economic landscape.
The session featured insightful interactions with Shri Vivek Srivastava, Regional Director – RBI, Chandigarh, and Shri Pankaj Setiya, Gengaged in insightful discussions on building a resilient, innovative, and enterprise-driven agricultural sector.


The programme featured technical sessions, an exhibition, and a pitching competition involving 18 ventures. Key areas discussed included post-harvest value addition, biomanufacturing, market linkages, and institutional credit. Experts emphasized the need for institutions to adapt to the evolving agri-business landscape and highlighted the importance of collaboration in creating opportunities and providing support to young entrepreneurs.

Dr. Lovi Raj Gupta, Pro-Vice Chancellor, LPU, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the University’s commitment to promoting agri-entrepreneurship. He also shared insights into transforming research and innovation into viable enterprises.


The programme was coordinated by Dr. Pardeep Kumar Chhuneja and Dr. Sapna Jarial, while Mr. Mandeep Singh Saini presented the facilities and support offered by the LPU incubation centre. The event also featured 18 startup stalls, showcasing innovative ideas and solutions in the agricultural sector.

Bringing together farmers, startups, students, faculty members, scientists, industry experts, and other stakeholders, the event reinforced the importance of collaboration in strengthening the agri-business ecosystem and empowering the next generation of agricultural entrepreneurs.
