As children, we were all taught one of the greatest lessons of life, which comes in the form of a quotation, “Failure is the stepping stone to success”. This particular quotation has been used in different interpretations by our teachers, parents, and seniors so as to instill within us a hope to carry on in life. Every time we are faced with challenges, or unforeseen circumstances in our path, we are unconsciously reminded of the quotation.
A great many inventions and discoveries in today’s generation exist because of the fact that somewhere in the past someone was persistent enough to go on in spite of the continuous failures it took to reach the predestined destination. Such people achieved greatness solely because of the fact that they kept going in life, and believed in the simple quotation we often hear now and then.
In our present scenario, we tend to lose our focus and divert our attention elsewhere right after we are faced with failure. Our hopes diminishes because the 1st sign of failure allows us to believe that we are not capable of achieving something great in life. In such moments, we are required to build up the ‘never give up’ outlook towards life, so that we can cope with whatever life throws at us.
Through our moments of despair, we should always remember the different interpretations of “Failure is the stepping stone to success” that we have learned throughout our life, and inculcate an attitude so as to live by those words. Challenges and failures will always accompany us on our road to greatness, and such moments will define our worth towards attaining what we desire.
“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm”, Winston Churchill.
