In PM Narendra Modi’s latest ‘Mann ki Baat’ radio programme, he announced about the Centre’s latest ‘Swachh Bharat Internship 2018’ for students which is linked to the flagship campaign – ‘Swachh Bharat’ of the Government. The HRD Ministry will offer 100 hours of Swachhta Internship to university and college students.
Student interns will need to adopt one or more villages and conduct activities of their choice that contribute towards better sanitation in the villages. The best interns who produce exceptional work will be awarded cash prizes at a national level. The internship needs to be of 100 hours at least.
The students shall submit the report on Swachh Bharat Internship on Swachh Bharat Internship portal via a supervisor from their college/university. Students can enrol as a team of maximum 10 members.
Students at Lovely Professional University can enrol for this internship and make their contribution towards Swachh Bharat. Community Service Cell, Division of Student Welfare at LPU is providing an opportunity for “Swachh Bharat Summer Internship” under Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
Registration for the summer internship is open till 08th May 2018.
