“There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.” – Margaret J. Wheatley
It is always a heart-warming and beautiful feeling to attain a place in the community. If you think of the time, you recognized that you cherished the importance of community in your life. We, humans, always love being a part of the community. It has been engraved into our psychology that we are strong as a community. It is as accurate and pure as it should be. Why don’t you recall the time with your family and friends? Just close your eyes and think about the most significant moments in your life. I bet they always happen when you are with your loved ones.
To entertain this feeling of love, fraternity, and community, AIESEC in Jalandhar, under the aegis of the Division of Student Welfare, LPU organized Unwind: The International Leadership Conclave 2021 on 31st October 2021. The event was a huge international event with people from all ethnicities present on a single platform. This was, by far, the most innovative and exciting event. The event started out with an introduction to AIESEC, where the participants were told about the core values of AIESEC.
The first speaker was Ms. Radha Kalaria, ICF Certified Executive Coach & Consultant and Keynote Speaker. She talked about the ways to transform oneself into a leader. She said that the steps of transformation start with clarification, simplification, and amplification. These three simple steps would lead you to success eventually. It is always with you, what you want and how you want to do it. Then, a great space called World Café took place. People from 120+ countries shared their views and introspected together despite the enormous cultural diversity. There were small virtual tables organized for 5-10 members who shared each other’s stories. The whole ambiance was of world fraternity, and each one present there was leading the first step towards the change.
This space was hosted by Mr. Siddharth Anantharam, alumni of AIESEC, Founder of LIFE CIRCLES, Master Coach at Evercoach by Mindvalley, TEDx Speaker, and ICF Professional Certified Coach. He is an inspirational personality who gave ways to the participants to find their Ikigai (true passion) by considering the flow state. He asked everybody to figure out their happiest moments and moments when time passed without any notice. This could tell everybody what they enjoy doing the most hence discovering their passion.
The next space was called “Beyond Borders,” where the participants met different leading personalities around the world. These AIESECers were well accomplished and led their countries’ member committees.
This inspirational and fun session was well hosted by Ms. Tashu Kumari and Ms. Sirat Sandhu, LPU’s students. Unwind: The International Leadership Conclave 2021 ended with a technical coding contest sponsored by PrepBytes and a felicitation ceremony for the best delegates. The participants were awarded vouchers, laptop bags, and a free trip to Goa for being the best delegates.
This premier event happens every year, allowing people to become global citizens.
