Recognizing the need for student-centered teaching in the era of digital transformation in business, a workshop on Business English Certification by Cambridge University, UK was organized at Lovely Professional University on December 2, 2017. The workshop was conducted by Ms Monisha Gupta, Principal Presenter and Teacher Trainer with the Cambridge University, UK, for India and Nepal. It was spread over in four sessions in which participants were individually coached with respect to Business English teaching, activities to practice Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing Skills. Assessments and Evaluation tools for Business English were also demonstrated, understanding of Common European Framework (CEFR) and overview of the BEC paper were covered.
The participants were appreciative of the gesture shown by the University in terms of choice of Trainer, appropriate learning environment, infrastructure, study material and content delivery. They were also impressed by the subject expertise of the resource person.
