Creator of more than 600 innovative demonstrations, experiments and many books on Physics, Prof HC Verma interacted with LPU students to authenticate the toughest considered Physics as an easily understandable subject for all. This occasion was communicative lecture delivery on “Physics for Creativity and Innovation” organized by the School of Chemical Engineering and Physical Science at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of Lovely Professional University. Prominent experimental Physicist, Prof Verma earns a lot of respects from his readers- be these school-college students, IITians, or competitive examinations’ sitters.
A producer of another set of 45 video lectures in Hindi for school-level students, Prof Verma has made physics postulations easily understandable. His an all-inclusive and much popular book ‘Concepts of Physics’ details out all ‘ABC’ of Physics, making it an ideal book for all commoners or diverse competes in Physics. The focus of the lecture was to make students learn the basic concepts of Physics, enhance their scientific temper, and interest in science.
Other than LPU faculty & students, near 700+ principals, professors, students from other 60 reputed institutions of the region also made the most of LPU’s students’ favouring endeavour. While interacting and answering to a common query of Dean Dr Ramesh Thakur, Prof Dr Kailash Juglan and Prof Dr Vikas Sharma; Prof Verma, an Authority on Physics, made it clear that there is an urgent and immense need of innovative books for Indian students in context to Indian scenario. No doubt several books created by foreign authors are supreme in nature and contents but these could be beyond the reach of common students in India. Prof. H. C. Verma is an Indian experimental Physicist and an Emeritus Professor of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He has also written several books in Physics for School and College level. His physics experiments and video lectures in Hindi at the school level can be used by teachers as DEMOs in their classrooms. He is also an Executive Committee member of Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) which works for physics education in schools and colleges. So far, he has given training to more than 8000 physics teachers.
