Compared to your school, Lovely Professional University hulky, we’re talking 600 acres! If you take that into perspective, that much area would fit hundreds of your high schools. So, when you are studying at a university that big, it’s like a mini-city on its own. And if you take LPU into the equation, it’s like a mini-world, where every department is like a mini country, and the rest of the area is like an open ocean to surf. All that sounds nice, but at times you might feel left out in a bustling university like that. And when I say it’s bustling, you do not want to underestimate that, at peak hours, if you stand in front of Unimall, you might feel more adrenaline in the air than in New York City.
So, in a place like that, it becomes obligatory to be a part of a community and usher in on your college experience! But, what if I say, you can build a community of your own? And telling the truth sowing the seeds of your own student organization could be the most satisfying moment of your university tale. Here are a few reasons why you should take that initiative:
(1). The sodality
Once you start an organization, you will be exposed to so many people and so many ideas. You can hang out in DSW, call out organization meetings, plan funky events it’s pretty obscure, and at the same time, it’s fun socializing with so many people coming from backgrounds, having different ideologies, everyone has a unique story to share, and with that much exposure, you are bound to learn something.
(2). Speaking & leadership skills
If you own a student organization, you will encounter plenty of moments when you have to stand up for the group, and that builds your courage to speak or address an issue publicly. It not only boosts your confidence but somehow it enhances your speaking and management skills. After your lectures, you will be meeting so many members of your organization you will be helping someone, someone will be helping you it’s like a moral learning center!
(3). Exploring your passion
12th standards are really tough! School to home, home to tuition, it’s painstakingly achieved, and if you wonder, you never really got an opportunity to pursue your interests. Thankfully, a university is a lot different from your school. Here, you have the freedom to do whatever you want. Maybe, you wanted to do food vlogging or rock a drum kit; no one’s stopping you! In lieu, you have a plethora of like-minded people to back you up in your endeavors!
So, good luck finding your community!
