We know that LPU students have always contributed towards uniqueness and generated new ideas for innovative creations amazing everyone with their talent. We have seen many new projects generated and developed by the students of LPU to be presented on national and international stages and received appreciation from many. Even now, if you visit the Innovation Studio, you’ll get to see the various successful projects by the students and several undergoing projects too.
Likewise, this time too, few students of B.Tech. Aerospace Engineering developed a Five Hole-Five Probe flow analyzer, which is a unique instrument to measure flow velocity, stagnation pressure, and static pressure for aircraft having 5 holes in the tunnel on the probe.
The project has been created by Rishika Awasthi (B.Tech. Aerospace Engineering), and Riddhi Malhotra (B.Tech. Aerospace Engineering), under the guidance of faculty mentors Mr. Mandeep Singh-Assistant Professor, Ruhul Amin Choudhury-Officer (Research & Innovation) managed by Division of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Student Welfare Wing. They state that wind tunnel is an aerodynamic research device used to investigate the effects of air traveling through aerodynamic channels and non-aerodynamic objects. It consists of a tubular passageway in the centre where in the object that needs to be tested is mounted. The developed device is typically installed & adjusted in a wind tunnel according to the structure, whether it is a subsonic or supersonic wind tunnel, and is commonly utilized in big data analysis in flow measurement techniques. The accuracy of these flow-measuring instruments can be improved by calibrating the measurement device in wind tunnels.
The developed project by these LPU B.Tech. students have been recognized as a relevant, unique, and useful development by experts as they won the first position in project presentation at International Conference on Small Satellites. These ideas and achievements inspire other students to create and develop projects, patent their ideas, and present them in front of the entire world.
