Five Members of Akhil Bhartiya Aggarwal Sammelan (All India Aggarwal Committee), Rajya Sabha Member & LPU Chancellor Dr Ashok Mittal in his office at Lovely Professional University. Along with the five-member committee led by its State President Surinder Aggarwal, Dr Mittal also unveiled Punjab School Education Board’s Hindi Book for Class-7, First Language, which contains an illustrated lesson on ‘Maharaja Agrasen- the Society Originator’. The chapter on Maharaja Agrasen has been introduced in the PSEB Hindi book for the first time.
Maharaja Agrasen was an Indian King and Suryavanshi Maharaja of Pratap Nagar (North India), who established Agroha city for the vaishya community. He founded 18 sub-castes (Gotras) of Aggarwal, and inspired all with his unique ideas for the betterment of society.
While unveiling the book, MP Dr Mittal congratulated the committee members and the entire community. Dr Mittal invoked all to continue with the society needed works as directed by Maharaja Agrasen Ji for the propagation of equality, benevolence, non-violence, charity, support, and peace. Dr Mittal also extended his thanks to PSEB for including the biography of Maharaja Agrasen in school books to transform young ones into noble souls. Dr Mittal was also accompanied by the Vice President of LPU Mr Aman Mittal.
Dr Mittal appreciated committee members, including State General Secretary Rajnish Mittal; Senior Vice President Manmohan Mittal; District President Avinash Aggarwal; and, General Secretary Sunil Gupta, for working tirelessly for the cause of community.
Highlighting, the four paged (141-144), lesson chronicled as 26- the ‘Maharaj Agrasen-Social Originator’, for first language Hindi is compiled by Manish Kumar Aggarwal, and is included in the syllabus for 7th class, with implementation from the session 2022-23. The publication is a joint venture of the education and welfare departments of the Punjab Government.
