Three-day annual mega cultural diversity celebrations at Lovely Professional University Campus concluded with ‘One India-2019‘ festival today. The day proved celebrative and informative with a peculiar presentation of hundreds of Indian festivals, rituals, cultures, traditions, businesses, achievements. Maintaining measures of the respective occasions, 10,000+ student-participants from 29 states, 7 Union Territories of India and 50+ countries worked together and converted LPU campus into ‘Mini India’. During this 10th session of ‘One India‘ fest, celebrating the theme of “Trade, Commerce and Industry, LPU students exhibited well India as the fast emerging super economic power of the world by mastering in all fields of the global skills. The most important point of the fest remained that students not only represented their own state but other states also to showcase strong ‘Unity in Diversity’. Even International students also participated actively along with their Indian counterparts to imbibe great Indian ideologies and culture.

On all the three-day, prominent judges from diverse fields including Director All India Radio (Vividh Bharti Programme, New Delhi) Mr PC Sinha; A Grade Theatre Performer Ms Bharti; National Quiz Master Mr Anup; Music Queen Arunita (An LPU Alumina) rated the various fest oriented activities of the students to encourage their the best of participation and global culture adoption. LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal congratulated all students and their mentors for displaying common and strong thread of unity amid diversity. By visiting individual stall, LPU Pro-Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal, Director General HR Singla & other university officials inspired students to stand united in all endeavours for the betterment of the community, country and the world.

During concluding hours’ music and dance programmes- “Sur Dhara” and “Jhoomo Re”, LPU students showcased typical and folk songs & dances, decorated dresses, historical & cultural aspects of their respective region. For this all, 150+ exhibition & food stalls, 50+folk Music & dance performances depicted magnanimity of oneness among all. Students of different states and countries observed and shared occasions like Navaratri, Durga Puja, Eid-Ul-Fitr, Gurpurb, Christmas, Jagannath Rath Yatra, Flower fests of Sikkim, Boita of Odisha; harvest festivals Onam &  Pongal of South India, famous Bihu of Assam, Morung of Nagaland and many more.

danceIn fact, the annual university fests- ‘One India‘ and ‘One World” are celebrated every year at LPU Campus to let diverse student community feel the importance of unity by all means. Different LPU Schools represent different states of India and countries separately, and their students work together to bring out the great aspects of their individual state or country for thousands of other on-looking students.
