Let me end my ramblings at the far end of the campus.
I have a question – how many of you have seen the university from the rear? I anticipate all heads bobbing vertically for the mechanical and civil engineering peeps, but for the rest the movement just might be horizontal.
Well here is a picture of our university from the rear end or the far south. Beyond all those blocks and kiosks, when you reach the university ground, you witness our sportspersons working hard for their events, and beyond them is the parking area, and if you stand there and face towards university, the scene will appear like this.
A veritable Mecca for our sportspeople, this is just as great a place to plant yourself on the ground and bask yourself in the sun all day. If the sun puts in an appearance, that is.
This is also a great place for a picnic and rowdy group games. Fancy some ‘dog and the bone’ or ‘kho-kho’ anybody?
