December

If I were to define the era we live in one word it would be either “Fast” or “Spontaneous”. Fast for the ones who find it exhausting and let life take the wheel, spontaneous for those who are actually a part of it and are thrilled to evolve with the changing times. If we try and comprehend these changing times with respect to India, this year itself India has gone through massive changes (#JIO and #DEMONETIZATION being the most unexpected ones) while some of us were sleep walking this whole time only to wake up and realize it’s already December.

Yes! It’s December, a time for reflection, of coming to terms with all the hard OH WELLS & WHAT IFS of the time gone by. A time where everyone stops and relishes what’s left of the passing year. Relationships grow fonder and closer, and everyone seems more cheerful and devoid of negativity. We try and mend burned bridges and learn to let go of what’s already beyond our reach. For once we seem inclined to celebrate the joy of being alive instead of being miserable. We dwell in the present, leaving the past behind and let future unfold itself – that’s the beauty December brings to us. The month brings out the best in each of us, maybe because for once we are appreciative of what we have in our life rather than stressing out about what we are missing.

If only we had the tenacity to keep such moments throughout the year, the world would be such a better place. Every day we exaggerate and magnify our perspective with negativity and sulk. Let’s not make life so hard and just give up and sleep walk. So many people haven’t made it even this far. We might as well wake up and roll with the punches and live life before it gets taken away from us.

Let the spirit of December be a part of your everyday life and not just for the month itself. Let gratitude fill your soul and hard work be your driving force. If you can keep December alive within you, trust me you’ll change countless lives. Say something kind instead of complaining, compliment someone instead of criticizing.

Last but not the least, learn to live a little and inspire people to live as well.

Have a great month!
