Nowadays, the whole organization is connected via Cloud solutions and this is where Cloud HR comes into play. These are more secure, reliable, and have abundant storage with a backup facility and this is the reason why manual management is being replaced by Cloud solutions. They explained how a company gets affected in some way or another if there is an absence of HR. It might be beneficial for small and medium companies but apart from it, HR is the core department of any company that aligns the mission and goals of the company along with hiring employees. HR also works on employee engagement and interacting with employees.

Learn from the experts: How to crack your interview and get hired?

If you can’t make an impact on your first impression, there is always another chance and in the business world, the first impression is not the last one. When asked about the qualities that they see during the interview, they answered that they mostly focus on the behavior, outlook, and attitude of the person. She added, “Your attitude speaks more than the skills you have.” Though skill set is important, your attitude plays a major role in the hiring process. When sitting in an interview, the company thinks about their future and they need someone to solve the problems they are facing. Go thoroughly through their job description and focus more on skills and work relevant to the position and following the description. Companies are looking for problem-solvers. Focus on the company’s values and every company has different values.

Digitalization has made HR’s job easier, it has given scope to HR to focus on the core assets of the company which is the employees. It has helped them to make sure that the company reaches its objectives. Also, we should remember that knowledge is of no use if you cannot solve a problem. There was another certification question, to which they answered that companies are not looking for certificates but they are looking for your learning and how have you implemented it. While building a portfolio as a fresher, keep some sample projects and mention your learning.

The questions like “Tell me about yourself”, “Why do you want the job?”, “Why should we hire you?”, “Why do you want to join this company?” are the behavioral questions that help in your behavior analysis. While answering these questions, keep them short and crisp and practice them in front of the mirror. Always have a theme for these answers like hard work, honesty, dedication, etc.

Key takeaways:

  1. Focus on your attitude along with soft skills, creativity, etc. Growth is not linear, it depends on skills, not on your experience.
  2. While going for an interview, always remember that you need to show the company that you are confident and have problem-solving skills.
  3. Always align your answers with what the company is looking for. For instance, when asked about weaknesses, you can mention how your weakness can also be an asset and you are working on improving them.
  4. Be clear about what you want in life/ career and keeping a journal could be of great help.
