In its continuous endeavors to associate with the best in the industry and give opportunities to its students, LPU hosted the launch of Huawei ICT Competition in the campus on 24th August 2018. The competition will be beneficial to the students in the manner that the winners and the top scorers of the competition will get a global certification and attractive rewards.
The launch event was presided over by Mr Frank Duan, Channel Sevice Manager, Huawei South East Asia Enterprise Service; Mr. Himanshu Mahajan, General Manager, Delivery & Service Department, Huawei Enterprise Business Group; and Mr. Rajeev Kabra, Director & CEO, Cognitel. Mr Frank Duan encouraged the students to participate in the ‘Huawei ICT’ Competition to give their career a head start and told them about the amazing benefits of winning in the competition.
Huawei ICT, launched collaboratively by Huawei and Cognitel, will give a chance to LPU students to participate in an international competition and showcase their knowledge. The test will check the students’ knowledge of various subjects covered in the fields of Computer Science, IT, Electronics and Communication, etc. Also, HCNA certified students could get a chance to secure a job with Huawei itself.
The competition will be held in 5 stages beginning with the mock test as stage 1. Each stage has certificates and rewards of increasing value to the students. Stage 5 is the final stage and consists of a global final competition which will be held at Huawei Headquarter, in China, in May 2019.
Huawei ICT Competition is one of a kind competition which was officially launched by Huawei and Huawei ICT Academy in June 2018. The competition will see participation from over 50 countries worldwide consisting of 80,000 participating students from more than 1000 colleges and universities. This is, in fact, a once in lifetime opportunity for students to showcase their abilities and secure their future with their hard work and knowledge.
