Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. organized LPG Awareness Program for celebrating 75 years of Independence (Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav) at Lovely Professional University to sensitize the consumers regarding safe and efficient usage of LPG. The program highlighted IOC’s commitment to the belief that it is possible to fuel the energy needs of the Nation while also protecting people and the environment. Different modes of training such as expert talks, audio visuals, demonstration and Nukkad Natak were deployed to sensitize approx. 400+ customers in Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of Lovely Professional University. More than 500 customers were connected virtually through Zoom Link.
Chief Guest Sh. Karnesh Sharma, IAS, Commissioner – Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar observed that as responsible citizens we must play a proactive role in using various sources of energy conservatively so as to ensure sustainable development. He appreciated Indian Oil Corporation for according to topmost priority to conducting its business with a strong environment conscience, provide safe workplaces and enrich of the quality of life of the community at large. He complimented Lovely Professional University for its inclusive approach in providing higher education opportunities to a diverse group of 30,000+ students on a single campus and catering to the needs of holistic development.
Sh. Ganpati Subramaniam, GM I/C (LPG), Punjab State Office, Chandigarh advised the participants to utilize all the shared information wisely for safe and efficient use of LPG. He complimented Lovely Professional University for the state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities and logistical support in working towards the mission of ensuring Safety, Health and Environment, the three pillars of IOCs sustainable development initiatives.

Pawan Sareen, GM (LPG-Sales), Punjab State Office, Chandigarh focused on imparting regular training and developing a culture of safety, environmental consciousness for overall well-being and quality of life. Sh. Ashok Kumar, DGM I/c (Plant), Jalandhar BP spelled out the service strategy for customer delight. Dr. Sunil Kumar, DLH, Jalandhar IDO highlighted the measures to be adopted for the safe usage of LPG and acknowledged Lovely Professional University for hosting the program with the intended spirit.
On behalf of Lovely Professional University Dr. Manish Gupta, Registrar (Admn), LPU, appreciated the vision of Indian Oil Corporation towards safety and well-being of the society and environmental consciousness for sustainable development. He complimented team LPU- Corporate Pathshala lead by Dr. Sunaina Ahuja, Professor and Dean HRDC and Mr. Narinder Singh Garcha, Associate Dean, Center of Professional Enhancement for the synergistic collaboration of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Indane and Lovely Professional University in organizing LPG Awareness Program. Program was anchored by Mr. Sarabjit Singh Kwatra Depty Dean, HRDC, Lovely Professional University. On this occasion, an illustrative booklet ‘Gyan Deep’ was also distributed to all participants, which included all small and important details about the dos and don’ts while installing and using the kitchen gas LPG.
