Thousands of students from all 29 states of India, including far off Karnataka, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and North East have joined the LPU 2016 session
Lovely Professional University has set the last date of admission for all programs as 10th August 2016. This year admissions at LPU saw many new advancements, including the conduction of its own admission test ‘LPU NEST’. All the students who applied for LPU BTech and the Honours Programs had to clear the test before joining LPU.Understanding that students from across India join LPU programs, the university this year identified 120 test centers across the country, and tied up with global testing centre ‘Pearson’ for the conduction of the tests.
LPU BTech Programs emerged the most preferred over all other programs. One of the major reasons for this is the strong placement record of the university for BTech students. The university set a new record in placement in North India last session when 799 engineering pass outs were recruited in a single day. MBA, BBA, BCom, BArch, BPharmacy, Fashion Design, Agriculture, and Physiotherapy followed in popularity . Interestingly, BA and other humanities’ programs at UG and PG level too remained very strongly in demand. The soar in LPU’s polpularity can in part be attributed to the vast media coverage it has received and the number of times prestigious magazines and newspapers ranked LPU among the top institutions on different parameters. With LPU bagging the AIU National Trophy, and collaborating with Google, SAP, and Oracle for prestigious certification programs, no wonder it is in demand with students of all pursuits and interests.
LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal says, “We are pleased to note that both national and international students are very keen to receive quality higher education. As such, meritorious students from all parts of India and across many countries have taken admission this year at LPU. It has been noticed that students prefer institutions which secure their future. In addition, as a part of corporate social responsibility, LPU has also provided scholarships of Rs 7.5 Lakh to meritorious students so that financial constraints may not stop them from getting quality education.”
