LPU School of Electronics & Electrical Engineering hosted two-day 3rd International Conference on Intelligent Circuits and Systems (ICICS-2020). Due to the ongoing pandemic, the conference was held virtually, which aimed to bring together researchers, scientists, academicians for sharing recent advances in smart and green technologies. Ten technical sessions of the conference witnessed many international & national experts from premier corporates and academia including those from Russia, Malaysia and more. Out of 300 Research Papers received from across the world, One-Third (100) selected were presented before the experts.
The conference covered topics relevant to the pursuit of Intelligent Circuits & Intelligent Systems and Emerging Technologies in Electrical Engineering. These included ‘Image and Video Processing, Computational Electromagnetics, RF, Microwave & Antenna, Sensors & Sensor Technology, Industry 4.0, Industry IoT, ICT for Agriculture and Social Welfare, Machine Learning, Renewable Energy, Electrical Machine, Power Electronics & Industry Applications, Modelling & Simulation of Grid Environment and Market, Robotics & Control Applications, Electrical Markets, Predictive Maintenance through Digitization and more.
The keynote addresses were delivered by Prof (Dr.) Albert Nasibulin from Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, Russia; Prof (Dr.) Ishak Bin Aris, Professor from Universiti Putra Malaysia; Dr. Dushanta Nalin Jayakody from National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University, Russia; and, Dr. Rajendra Pratap from Arrow Electronics India, Noida. Experts at the conference were LPU Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr.) Ramesh Kanwar and IEEE Fellow, Former VC VIT Vellore and Director (I/C) Prof (Dr.) D P Kothari. Dr Dushanta delivered expertise on ‘Energy Harvesting’-a new norm for recovering energy from various radio frequencies and power transferring through wireless means. Dr. Rajendra shared challenges faced in fabrication of ICs, which is a bottleneck to Atam Nirbhar Bharat.
More than 300 research papers were received from across the world. All presented papers will be published through CRC (Scopus Indexed). The Conference aimed to promote, encourage and bring together researchers, scientists, academicians to share knowledge on recent advances made in the field of smart and green technologies in the field of Energy, Electronics, Communication, Computers and Control.
