Lovely Professional University (LPU) conducted a two-week long online ‘Personal Contact Programme (PCP)’ for its distance education students. Nearly 250 faculty members conducted classes for 525 courses. The classes were delivered on pre-prepared instructional plans covering all the important topics of the syllabus for various courses.

The live virtual classes were conducted through the ‘MyClass’ platform of Learning Management System – LPU e-Connect. Thousands of students from different locations participated in the online PCP. All of them got academic counselling from subject specific experts of the University, where students’ queries were discussed and resolved.

Based on the online registration of the students, the university conducted PCP classes in the disciplines of Management, Computer Application, Information Technology, Commerce, Library and Information Sciences, Economics, Education, English, Hindi, Punjabi, History, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology. Many government employees and other professional students like them were also able to take time out of their engagements to attend these classes.

One of the participating MBA students, Akshay Grover shared that it was a bit difficult to study the entire material from the book. The PCP provided the strategy to study and have good marks. Another, Master of Arts (Economics) student, Loveleen holds that LPU teachers interacted in simplest ways for adding required knowledge.

The Director of Distance Education programmes at LPU informs that, presently, the admission for LPU Distance Education Programmes for January 2023 session is going on. For more information, one can contact the University by calling at 01824-521360 or through e-mail at [email protected]
