Indian Organization for Commerce & Industry (IOCI) has honoured the Pro Chancellor of Lovely Professional University, Mrs. Rashmi Mittal, with the prestigious ‘Rising Star of Asia’ Award. This honour is in recognition of Mrs. Mittal’s outstanding achievements in the field of education. The award ceremony was organized by IOCI during its ‘Indo-International Achievers Summit’ held in Kyrgyzstan. The Indian Ambassador in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), His Excellency Mr Jayant Khobragade presented the award, medal and certificate of excellence. The dignitaries’ dais was also shared by Former President of Kyrgyzstan, HE Mrs. Roza Isakovna Otunbaeva, Deputy Minister (Tourism), HE Mr. Zhamankulov Azamat Kaprovich and Former Diplomat Ambassador Dr. VB Soni, IFS.
IOCI is an apex body that promotes and encourages commendable achievements globally. It organizes international and national level seminars to promote socially responsible business practices and sustainable development on the economic as well as social front in India.
Dedicating the award to the students and staff-members of Lovely Professional University, Pro-Chancellor Mrs Mittal said,“I feel honoured and humbled to be receiving this coveted achievers’ award among and above so many deserving Asians. It has made me more determined to keep on working towards a brighter future for our students through the transformation of the education effort at LPU. I will continue to encourage students to grow into responsible future leaders and global citizens whose vision and work will transcend borders. Prior to this, Mrs Rahmi Mittal was also honoured with the prestigious national Mother Teresa Sadbhavana Award in recognition of her outstanding achievements in the field of higher education.
