The School of Fashion Design organized a mega fashion show ‘Ensemble-2017’ during its annual graduating show. Nearly 30 models, who are also LPU students, showcased 7 collections of 200+ designs prepared by LPU Fashion Programme students. These collections were named Rustic Meghwal, Mortal Autonomy Aghori, Genesis Roots, Cross Identity, Sri Lankan Dance, Ecstatic Tranquility and Hasan II Mosque.
Mr. Ashok Mittal, Chancellor, Lovely Professional University congratulated all the design students for putting together such an extravaganza of international level. Mr. Mittal along with Pro-Chancellor Mrs. Rashmi Mittal awarded the designers of collection ‘Ecstatic Tranquility’ for the best surface development; ‘Genesis’ team for best pattern and construction; and, the team of ‘Mortal Autonomy’ was awarded the best design collection. The panel included highly qualified fashion professionals Niket Mishra and Rinku Sobti who evaluated the students on their work.
On this occasion, big names in the fashion industry Vice Presidents Marketing & Merchandising respectively Alok Jain and Vikas Jain from Monte Carlo, Niharika Pandey, Anuj Lalwani, Pooja Kapoor, Vikrant Mehta and Punit Arora were also present.
The graduating students sought external help from well-known designers like Anshul Rajwansh and Siddharth Kakkar who mentored their designs for the gala event. The show was choreographed by Los Angeles based internationally famed Mr. India North America & Mr. United Nations World Dilpreet Virk. The makeup and hair team of ‘Oleega Beauty Studio’ prepared the students for diverse presentations.
The School of Fashion Design at LPU is an institutional member of Fashion Design Council of India and has a highly experienced faculty with great expertise in their domain. It has modern labs and equipment to simulate the industry environment with practical exposure to fashion industry right from design to merchandising.
