LPU Students clinched the first prize in Videography Competition – “ZOOMIN” at IIM Amritsar and Short Film Competition at IIT Roorkee during their 2018 Annual Fests.
The winning video, “Bottle” at ZOOMIN, IIM Amritsar, is a persuasive video conveying the message, “We never know the worth of water till the well is dry”. The film was made under the banner of “Silver Shot Films”. The team of students that won the prize comprised of 6 LPU Students – Mrinal Jha – Story & Direction, Asfaque Hussain – Cinematography, Himanshu Chouhan – Editing, Suman Kumar Sharma – Actor, Sarita Bhatia – Actor and, Ankush Kumar – Actor.
The winning video, “Do Not Sleep” made under the banner of “Silver Shot Films” at 1080p, IIT Roorkee is based on the life of students and stress in the life of students which forces them to take irrevocable steps like committing suicide. The team that won the prize comprised of Mrinal Jha – Director, Jasbir Singh – Writer, Asfaque Hussain – Cinematographer/Editor, Sarita Bhatia – Creative Design, Simran Randhawa – Actress, Summit Maderna – Actor, Manmeet Singh – Actor, Sandeep Singh – Actor and Ankush Kumar – D.O.P.
