“Life is for the living”

Are you a victim of regret? Are you scared of venturing into something new? Do you feel insecure to explore the horizons outside your own comfort zone………..? Our own views on life define the events happening around us as the ones worth living, and the ones worth denying. Life in its own way has no intentions of being biased and partial to any human soul. Each one of us are met with equal number of chances and opportunities to make something of our life, that being said, time decides when, where and how an individual may stumble onto something that could change his/her life. The stage being provided and the choice resting in our hands, many of us fail to recognize and unravel the opportunities in front of us. This particular moment of being ignorant and being in denial is what I refer to as the 3 SECONDS TO NOTHING.

Every time life presents us with something new and something fresh that could metaphorically be the golden egg, we give it away because of the 3 seconds ‘step back’ inside our minds.

1 second- We hesitate to embrace something that is new to us.

2 second- Our mind creates unnecessary emotions triggered by our own insecurities.

3 second- We take a step back and walk away.

This quick moment of 3 seconds activity in our mind is a parasite that feeds on us whenever we are about to do something in life: something as ordinary as waking up early for our daily schedule or something as important as taking up a job offer. We all go through the phase of 3 seconds to nothing in our everyday life, and we become victims of regret because of our ignorance about it.

3 seconds to nothing is just my way of perceiving the things in life which I have lost and have regrets about because of a single moment of hesitation that was created in my mind whenever life called out to me for something new and refreshing. Every one of us has our own interpretation of 3 seconds to nothing, and how we are affected by it.

“Life is for the living”… this particular sentence has in itself a very strong message that can be understood on our own terms and conditions. Let’s not live dead, and start being open towards changes and opportunities that come our way, and live life like we got nothing to lose. Let’s give life a chance to bring about something new each day, and if we do that, I am confident that our minds will stop creating 3 SECONDS TO NOTHING every time we take a step forward towards a better life.
