You are right, but apart from Journalism also is the block of Law, Film Production, Mass communication and Performing arts. Whenever you think of the word “Journalism” then only reporting comes to your mind. Well, journalism is just not just about reporting, sadly there are many other misconceptions too. So here I go clearing them.

You couldn’t be farther away from the truth as nobody without brains can survive in this fast-paced industry. Take Barkha Dutt for example, She is one of the most prominent figures in the industry not because she is a model or for any other physically attractive feature but rather because of her work.

People often think that there is a lot of hard work required but there is not sufficient money. That’s not true. If you look and work for it then you would be loaded with money.

Journalism is not all about reporting. There is so much more to it. It’s collecting facts, making sure it is accurate, photojournalism, freelance writing, investigative journalism, social media, public relations and more. And who says you can’t invent a career of your own based on your special skills?

This isn’t the case at all. There are lot more opportunities such as in magazines, publishing houses, advertising houses, contenting writing, screenplay and more. There are unlimited modes of communication as we are at peak of technology, and it’s journalists that provide you accurate information, no matter what media it is through.
