- Attend events
Events are a great way to break the ice. You will meet new people from different countries and if you’re lucky, you might even get to meet someone from your home place. Events give you exposure and bring out the best in you.
- Visit a counselor
Initially, you might feel a little anxious or low and it’s completely okay. It takes time to get used to the new environment especially when you’re staying thousands of miles away from home. There are counselors available 24/7 inside the campus and will help you get rid of all your anxiousness and stress. There is also a department of happiness aimed at helping students stay happy during their time at the University.
- Find a hobby
Hobbies are a great way to get your mind off of things. It might have been something you always dreamt of doing, you will definitely find something that will interest you in our college clubs.
- Try learning a new language
What could be more thrilling than learning a new language? Take it as a challenge and try learning any language before you leave college. You can ask your classmates to teach you new words every day so by the time you leave, you’ll have that cool foreign accent.
- Maintain balance
Getting to live and study in a completely different place can be overwhelming. It’s easy for things to get out of hands. Have fun, no one is going to stop you, but make sure you give time to your studies too. Because that’s the reason you actually came all the way here right?
