When was the last time you did something that brought a smile on someone’s face? With Diwali here, we all are immersed in the festive spirit and are longing to be together with our families to celebrate this festival. Diwali Sales on the leading online stores as well as offline sales at bustling shops are on everyone’s mind. Everyone is busy shopping for the upcoming festival. Besides the shopping spree, as much we try to run from it, Diwali is the time when we are on a cleaning spree and discard anything that is not of use to us anymore.
This Diwali, think twice if you plan to discard your old clothes, footwear or stationary as they can bring smiles on the faces of kids from slum areas. #BadeDilWale
To make the festival of lights equally brighter for these underprivileged children, LPU-NSS has taken an Initiative with ‘ Joy of Giving Week’ from 09th Oct to 14th Oct, 2017 in all Boys and Girls Hostels. You can donate food items, old clothes, shoes, stationery, etc, at Help Desk in your Hostels, which will further gift these to slum kids.
There can be nothing more precious than the joy you receive after helping someone and seeing that smile on their face.
