School of Agriculture, Lovely Professional University has been granted accreditation by the National Agricultural Education Board of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, making it the first and only private University in the country to receive the accreditation. The grant came after a series of scrutiny based on the LoI, IEA, Compliance Certificate and self-study report submitted by the University and subsequent report of the Peer Review Team.
The grant was bestowed upon LPU at the XXII meeting of the National Agricultural Education Accreditation Board of ICAR, which was held on 28th September, 2018 at the NASC Complex, New Delhi.
Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Chairman of the National Agricultural Education Accreditation Board and Director General, ICAR, gave the firm opinion that quality of agricultural education should be given paramount importance. He reiterated that grading of AUs certainly creates healthy competitive environment and thus enhance the quality of education.
The following degree programs of the School of Agriculture of Lovely Professional University were approved for accreditation.
- B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture.
- M.Sc Agriculture {Horticulture (Fruit Science)}.
- M.Sc Agriculture (Agronomy).
- M.Sc Agriculture (Genetics and Plant Breeding).
